I have a bunch of these recipes. I love to share them. They have a few ingredients in common.
I like to call them my 'pack of healers'. This particular recipe, my "immune boost shooter" , is super in a pinch...contains herbs that many of us already have on hand. I've made it for years! It was a popular 'seller' when I had my store, Studio Botanica, in Toronto.
When to make it? Anytime to have on hand for your family's needs. Tee Hee.. I DARE you to make this!
WHY take it? It's a quick immune booster. Sometimes we can tell we need immediate support. This works!!
It's EASY to make >
You will need:
1 glass canning jar
½ cup apple cider vinegar (raw is best)
½ cup lemon juice (fresh squeezed if possible)
½ cup honey (raw + local is best)
4 cloves garlic, crushed or pressed
1 smidge of cayenne powder (pinch or two or more-- depending upon your tolerance !)
Combine all the ingredients. Add a lid to your jar and shake!
It's fine to use right away but I like it best after it sits overnight.
Take a 'shot' every day (preferably on an empty stomach)
When 'flu or cold' symptoms present, take a tablespoon every 1-2 hours until symptoms are gone.
Hey -- it's NOT tasty. It DOES work wonders~ (reminds me of that Buckley's cough syrup commercial from years ago.. It tastes awful - but it works!)
Note: NO claims here of cures… Just personal experience. I could share stories of so many acute situations clearing up quickly!
As a daily tonic, it's effective too! Make this and tell me your OWN stories!
sending green wishes for your health! xo Carol
