I often write about women's health, but then you know that! It's time to share a little gem for the men in our lives. Prosnut Butter is one of my favourite concoctions to support Prostate Health! As with many things in life, I don't think that there's a "it's too early to start" moment. Why not just incorporate great habits as soon as we can embrace them, which is bound to help us all in the long run! Prosnut Butter for Prostate Health -- explore this idea!!
Why wait until a diagnosis of BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy) or benign prostate enlargement?? Why not simply introduce a delicious NEW effective and 'ultra yummy' condiment, that is highly effective?
No prescription necessary. Grab your pens or print this out for all the men in your life!
Guess what? This ideas doesn't come with warnings of erection loss, ejaculatory issues or decreased libido!
Thanks to James A. Duke PhD (rather a legend in many herbal circles) and his research, there's an easy recipe, especially for our men, that may cause some 'eye-rolling' but eventually --> gratitude. Jim called it "Prosnut Butter" and it's been around for a long time. Check out his book The Green Pharmacy: The Ultimate Compendium Of Natural Remedies From The World's Foremost Authority On Healing Herbs for lots of great ideas!

THREE ingredients for Prostate Health! That's all.
Licorice: It contains a compound that prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. The quantity in the Prosnut Butter is small. In very large quantities of licorice people have developed headache, lethargy, sodium and water retention, loss of potassium and high blood pressure. If you perceive any issues with the amount of licorice in Prosnut Butter then cut down on the amount.
Pumpkin: The fatty oil in the pumpkin seeds is a powerful diuretic (increases fluid release). The seeds are high in ZINC which is helpful for BPH. Zinc has been proven to reduce the size of the prostate. They also have a chemical, cucurbitacins that seem to prevent testosterone being transformed into dihydrotesterone. The seeds also contain amino acids that relieve BPH symptoms. Other seeds high in the amino acid glutamic are almonds, butternuts, peanuts. Note: Peanuts and sesame seeds are high in the amino acid glycine, as well.
Saw Palmetto: Studies in Europe show that plant-based medicines are effective in treating BPH. Saw Palmetto can increase the flow of urine, reduce residual urine as well as the frequency of urination. These issues can pose a problem with an enlarged prostate. David Winston wrote a book, devoted entirely to Saw Palmetto. Buy at your local health food store or online

Another important bonus: One does not normally need to wait weeks or months to notice improvement. Yippee!!!

Love this idea Carol. I have used Saw Palmetto for male clients in tablet form before, but this is a perfect way to sneak some goodies into their diet!

My uncle had BPH for a couple of years and always had to get up many times during the night to pee, he also felt pain while peeing. The urologist told him that it was a typical symptom of the enlarged prostate and that he needed to learn to deal with it, the doctor prescribed him alpharise health for his prostate and a new diet (tomatoes, fruits, nuts, vegetables and no red meat) . After some weeks realized there were good changes on him already
Carol Little
That's good news. Why not make him some of this Prosnut Butter?

Wow. That is so interesting. My husband tried using saw palmetto but it didn't work for him.

True, all herbs and remedies don't work for everyone. Often, though, people don't take enough of a herb for a long enough period. If he likes this concoction, why not try again? Dr Duke's formula has helped countless gents back to health. Thanks for sharing, Anna. It's important to acknowledge that our plant allies, although powerful, don't work for all. Each of us has particular reasons for issues, and there's more to a healing, than a 'magic pill'. green blessings.
